Eliptical Floating Enclosure for all ThriftyKing CT series fountains. The animals don't have to "push" these floating devices down, they just have to tilt them over to see water and get their drink. Ritchie has a patent on the design so other fountain manufacturers can't copy it. The competition fountains use round balls - which are really hard for the animals to negotiate. And when the ball "snaps" back up agains the cover it scares or startles the animals so they are reluctant to drink.
